Where We Grow
Denmark Street Vineyard
The story of our Invited Series Sauvignon Blanc began with a vision for something truly unique—a wine that showcased the vibrant character of Sonoma Valley and honored the land and the people who care for it. This journey led Elle Minor to Denmark Street Vineyard, where she forged a partnership with the Clouse family, stewards of this historic site for six generations. Together, they explored the harmony of regenerative farming practices and old-world winemaking techniques using clay amphorae vessels, crafting a wine that reflects innovation and tradition.
Denmark Street Vineyard, nestled on the east side of Sonoma, is a testament to sustainable viticulture. The Clouse family’s commitment to the land is evident in every detail: the fertile grey loam soils are left untilled to preserve their natural structure, permanent cover crops nurture the ecosystem, and no herbicides or pesticides are used—only elemental sulfur is employed to guard against mildew. This hands-off, holistic approach creates an environment where the vines thrive naturally, yielding fruit that is as expressive as it is pure.
The grapes were harvested whole-cluster to craft this Sauvignon Blanc, preserving their integrity and allowing the wine to speak directly of its origins. The result is a wine that captures the essence of Denmark Street Vineyard—vibrant, fresh, and deeply connected to the land.
This partnership is more than a collaboration; it celebrates the Clouse family’s legacy and dedication to sustainable farming. It’s an invitation to savor a wine that tells the story of Sonoma Valley and honors the shared commitment to protecting its beauty for generations to come.
Sangiacomo Roberts Road Vineyard
Our story with the Sangiacomo family began in 2007, sparked by a shared curiosity and passion for crafting exceptional wines. Sean Minor and Steve Sangiacomo’s mutual intrigue working with heavy clay soils—paired with the discovery of gravel and loam beneath—laid the foundation for our collaboration. At the heart of this partnership is the Roberts Road Vineyard, a breathtaking site nestled in the Petaluma Gap AVA. Here, cobblestone soils and a fog-cooled microclimate nurture Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes of unparalleled quality, embodying the region’s spirit.
Working alongside Steve and the Sangiacomo family, who meticulously manage 1,600 acres of premium vineyards, we’ve built a relationship of trust, innovation, and a dedication to sustainable practices. Together, we celebrate the unique terroir of Sonoma County, crafting wines that honor tradition while embracing the future of viticulture.
Rossi Ranch Vineyard
Our partnership with Rossi Ranch began in 2015 with a simple handshake and a shared vision over a glass of wine at Will Bucklin’s Harvest Party. It was there that Sean Minor and Phil Coturri connected—not just over the potential of creating our Grenach from the vineyard he manages, but also a mutual respect for the craft and the land itself. Rossi Ranch, with its deep history and rugged beauty, captivated Sean from the moment he set foot on its soil. Even today, every visit takes his breath away, reaffirming the magic of this place.
Nestled in the warm heart of Sonoma Valley, Rossi Ranch is a living testament to Phil Coturri’s dedication, organically farmed for over 15 years. This vineyard stands out not only for its stunning landscape but also for the unique character it imparts to the fruit. Pruned late to avoid spring frost, it remains one of our latest harvests each year. The resulting wine carries a wild, untamed spirit, weaving together briary, peppery spiciness with the herbal, aromatic essence of the native plants surrounding the vines—a true expression of Rossi’s wild herbaceousness.
For us, crafting Grenache from Rossi Ranch is about more than producing wine; it captures the essence of a place that embodies the rugged beauty of Sonoma Valley. Each bottle tells the story of this iconic vineyard and reflects the partnership we built with Phil Coturri—a collaboration rooted in passion, respect, and a shared love for vineyards that speak for themselves.
